IAIJ 2016 AGM Recap

The 2016 International Association of Independent Journalists Inc. Annual General Meeting took place on February 12 at IAIJ offices in Toronto and electronically for all interested members that attended. The meeting started with the usual recap of membership numbers and financial statements and a recap of events and news in the organization since the last AGM exactly one year earlier. Some suggestions were adopted during the meeting as follows:
1. IAIJ will continue with its international advocacy.
2. We should start to develop a dedicated mobile site for smart phone use.
3. We should keep the stripped down site for areas and nations with problematic connectivity.
4. We should lay the foundations for a dedicated app to make using and connecting to IAIJ services easier.
As President and on behalf of the Board of Directors. I would like to thank all who participated at this year’s AGM and look forward to seeing you all again next year!
