On February 7 (2026) the International Association of Independent Journalists Inc. (a not for profit) corporation acquired International Archiving of Independent Journalists Inc. (a for profit) corporation by purchasing all 10,000 shares from its owner Maurice Ali for a token amount of one dollar (CAN) with full endorsement from the board of directors, staff and general membership in 2025.



This purchase will allow the association ownership over the websites (originally iaij.com) and message board and servers as these were started by the archiving corporation in 2004 before the association was incorporated.



The constitutions of both companies, management and staff at both organizations remain as before.
