Update on the Citizen Journalist Report!

By Maurice Ali

The map above shows a rough idea of where our current responses are. Just over 50 now and growing but we need more and you can help. Just get us the bodies to complete the surveys in all countries but especially the areas not covered! But listen, some of those huge areas just have one survey, we still need more to have a useful sample size.....

We will make some improvements to the MS Word version of the survey so the underlines for comments actually works as it should. That is about all for now.

100 surveys!

This is important as this was the minimum number sample size to draw any conclusions. Keep them coming in though as we need much more to even comment on things regionally.

Great job everyone!

We are up to 105 surveys now and still taking more in. We are looking at general trends and starting work on the body of the report as well as looking at submissions and such to be included in the report.

We are now up to 123 surveys submitted. This is enough for some definitive statements of citizen journalists around the world. It is not enough for definitive statements on regions and not enough to say anything meaningful on individual countries. We may be able to make guarded statements on regions however. The report is a go and a rough draft being prepared.
