IAIJ’s Participation at the 2021 World Bank / IMF AGM!

The International Association of Independent Journalists would like to thank the World Bank / IMF organizers for a most successful Annual General Meetings (October 11 - October 17, 2021 in Washington DC). IAIJ attended the event to ensure transparency. Our President of IAIJ had this to say about the event:
“Due to the pandemic the forum was held in virtual fashion this year but we had access to high ranking officials as never before. In particular the town hall with the President of the World Bank, the round table with Executive Directors of the World Bank, and a forum with the Managing Director of the IMF were very productive. As a result many CSOs and other stakeholders were able to participate that could not physically come to Washington even in pre-pandemic times. I hope that going forward in the post-pandemic world this virtual access will continue for all to participate.”
